A wet morning at Paraparap kept numbers down but not the keen racing in the three scratch races on Sunday June 15th. Nineteen riders splashed their way out back both Forest and Nobles roads finishing their 41km drenching in Larcombes road. A grade was keenly contested by 10 riders with Carl Leahy getting the better of Dave Warren and the perennial Jeff Miller. A smaller field in C grade saw Joe Gulino lead out the sprint specialist Jim Knott with the dogged Ross West third. In D grade a first up win for Barry Clay ahead of John Bell with Terry Robinson rounding out the place getters.
Next weeks racing is a handicapped race at Paraparap.
