What a great night of racing had by all with very strong feilds in A,B and C grade.
A grade had twelve entries for 30 + 2 laps. Xavier Coppock was very keen for a hard hitout getting ready for the Jack Griffin race this coming Sunday. Xavier started flat out with the ever watchful Paul Barretta being the only one to stay on Xavier’s wheel. They made a quick gap on the rest of the feild gradually increasing there gap with Paul taking the win over Xavier with Andrew Baker winning the distant sprint for third. Averaging over 39kmh.
B Grade with six very even riders had lots of attacks and a lot of watching each other for the whole 30 minutes. Jim Knott had another win over Marcus Coppock and the consistent Paul Ryan finish a close third.
C grade had seven strong riders with a couple of faces not seen yet this season. Vincent Haveaux decided to try lots of attacks tonight with no luck on getting away from a keen group looking for a sprint finish. Byron Mitchell after competing in the state BMX championship last week had the legs to get away from the group for a great solo win. Darren Williams won the sprint for second with the great Phil Preston home for third.
Also well done to new riders Vincent Trotter and Mick Barnes for competing in D grade. Well done to all for a great night of competitive and safe racing. Hope to see you all again next week.
