South Australian Masters Cycling Association (SAMCA) will be hosting the 18th Edition of the Classic Adelaide Masters Series (CAMS) starting 14th January 2017.

This event is timed to blend in with the TDU in Adelaide, and has evolved over the years to provide many travellers the opportunity to enhance their visit to the TDU by participating in some of the best veterans racing Adelaide has to offer.

AVCC members can look forward to 4 great events:

Our Road Race hosted by the SDVLCC will feature the McLaren Vale wine region in all its splendour, and only 25 minutes from the CBD. The course selected is a new one to the championship agenda. It has some climbing, but no mountains. The descents are smooth and safe, and plenty of flat riding on quiet roads.

Our ITT nestled in the beautiful countryside of Woodchester will be hosted by the AHMCC.

A Hill Climb aged based competition will be held on the bike path adjacent to the Crafers freeway. A popular climb for the locals, this will get your heart rate pumping. After the event, a nice downhill run to Glenelg to watch the start of the days pro racing.

Final event is the criterium race in our beautiful city parklands using the same course of our famous V8 super cars will be hosted by the VLCC. Again, this event is timed to ensure plenty of time to move to the city centre to watch the final stage of the TDU.

Great prize money is on offer, along with the chance of meeting and making new friends in the AVCC network.

More details will be posted on the SAMCA website at https://samc.org.au/ shortly, and will be updated as the event approaches.

Would be fantastic if we could have every AVCC visiting member support this event and help to build it into one of the premier events on the cycling calendar.
