First we’d like to thank all of the members who responded to the survey.
We received some great ideas and the committee is reviewing these and the overall results to implement further actions to try and improve our club.
We are delighted that the overall satisfaction rating came in at 98.2%.
This is up from 84% last year with Very satisfied up from 42%.
While this is a great result we know that there are always areas we can improve.
Criteriums
A strong support for us to continue racing criteriums (63% likely to race this summer) but the greatest reason why people didn’t race in the Summer Series was due to Saturday not suiting them.
With the lean attendances and this response it’s likely that we’ll focus on Thursday twighlight races however there still seems strong support for a series of some disruption over summer so stay tuned.
Multi stage event
75% of members were keen to participate in a multi event stage race, which is something the committee is keen to put on as well.
Importance of races
Sunday Handicaps are still seen as the most important races with 93% of members stated that they were of either Most or Secondary Importance.
Communication
E-mail was far and away peoples preferred choice for communication from the club, with the website & Facebook next best. On the basis of this feedback the club is looking at a trialling a regular e-mail/newsletter.
New Members & Other Feedback
As mentioned above there was a lot of great suggestions and comments and we’ll work our way through these.
Some of these were:
- More come and try races
- More social/training rides
- Female specific events
- Some skill training & introduction rides, especially for criteriums
- Many liked 9:00am start, although some wanted it back at 9:30
- More “free races” or shorter term (3 month) licence.
Thanks again for all your support
